Introduction
Dear Traveler, thank you for choosing The Molt Collection.
We have meticulously selected every tour and adventure to make sure that this will not just become another trip but the experience of a lifetime.
Here below is the itinerary. The information is indicative and may have variations on designated tours.
Day
Arrive at Zurich airport and take the opportunity to visit the city centre before heading to St. Gallen, a charming Swiss town in the east of the country, famous for its impressive Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which houses a remarkable library with ancient manuscripts. Surrounded by hills and nature, it is the ideal starting point to explore the beautiful Appenzell region and to enjoy outdoor activities...
It's adventure time! We go to Wasserauen to take the gondola lift to Ebenalp. Here there is a small path (15 min) that leads to the prehistoric caves of Wildkirchli, inhabited some 40,000 years ago, to the hermit's dwelling and the famous Berggasthaus Aescher mountain inn. Ebenalp is an ideal starting point for numerous hikes. We recommend the hike up to Schäfler (low difficulty, 5 km round trip, approx. 300 m ascent). The indicated time is 1h20 to reach the hut and restaurant via a path marked with red and white waymarks.
An idyllic place to enjoy the views.
On the way back, we will take the opportunity to visit Appenzell. In the Alpstein region, the rock formations rise to an altitude of more than 2500 metres. Nowhere else in Switzerland is the transformation of the mountain scenery from the Swiss countryside to the Alpine world so striking.

Let's have fun! We will go to St.Gallen. The city situated between Lake Constance and Appenzellerland has a charming, traffic-free old town. The town is characterised by its colourful painted windows. Its abbey complex with the cathedral and library has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From St.Gallen we will visit the Chocolarium (30 min from St.Gallen). A chocolate factory where we can take a tour and at the end decorate our chocolate bar.

Time to leave Apenzell behind and take the regional scenic Voralpen Express train to Luzern. Luzern is known for its impressive medieval architecture, its incredible location on the shores of the Lake of the Four Cantons and surrounded by the high pre-Alpine mountains. The city's landmarks are the medieval bridge, the lion and the old town.
Back to the adventure!
We will take the ferry across the lake to Alpnachstad. There, the world's steepest rack railway will take us up to Mount Pilatus (2119 m). At this viewpoint you will feel small in front of such majesty, with a 360º panoramic view of the whole of Switzerland. We recommend taking the low-difficulty circular panoramic trail (40 min) through the legend of the dragon, in order to enjoy the views to the full and to reach the dragon's cave. There we will enjoy various games that will explain the legend. We will descend back to Luzern with the Dragon Ride gondola, simulating the flight of the dragons of the mythical legends of the place.

We leave Luzern early in the morning to board the Luzern-Interlaken Express scenic train. We will make a stop in Brienz. There we can store our luggage free of charge at the tourist office. We have several options for today's activities. In Brienz we will find the lake where we can rent pedalos, kayaks or take the boat to the Giessbach waterfalls. We will return for our luggage before the tourist office closes and continue our journey by train to Interlaken. There we will take the train to our hotel in Wilderswil, overlooking the Jungfrau and within walking distance of the centre of Interlaken.
We will wake up with a view of the Jungfrau.
Today we start the day in Lauterbrunnen and take the gondola lift up to Grutschalp. From there a scenic train will take us to Mürren. We cross the picturesque alpine village and go up to Allmendhubel (1h easy walk or 4 min by funicular/ we can also go up by funicular and walk down or the other way round). There we will find one of the most amazing alpine playgrounds with the most incredible views and a restaurant. In the afternoon we will go down to Stechelberg by cable car. From Stechelberg we can walk along a flat promenade to Lauterbrunnen (1h 30 min) or take the bus to the Staubbach waterfall. A characteristic monument that drops almost 300 metres down from an impressive rock face, one of the largest free-falling waterfalls in Europe. Return to the hotel in Wengen.

We can also ride the various zip lines, ride the trottis, walk on the hanging terraces of the Tissot Walk or simply enjoy the panoramic views.
In the afternoon, we return to Grindelwald to go to the Glacier Canyon. We will enter the canyon via a footbridge following the glacier tongue.
Return by train to Wilderswil.
