Introduction

Dear Traveler, thank you for choosing The Molt Collection.
We have meticulously selected every tour and adventure to make sure that this will not just become another trip but the experience of a lifetime.
Here below is the itinerary. The information is indicative and may have variations on designated tours.

Day
Arrival at Milan airport. Transfer by train across the Italian region of Lombardy to enter Ticino. We will pass Lake Lugano and continue on to Locarno, a town with the best temperatures and most hours of sunshine in Switzerland, with spectacular views of Lake Maggiore. A city surrounded by palm trees and landscapes with camellias. Italian-influenced gastronomy and a totally Mediterranean atmosphere. Are you ready for the Dolce Vita of Ticino? Accommodation in Locarno
Day to enjoy the beautiful views of Ticino from the inland of Lake Maggiore.
We will board the boat that will take us to the picturesque town of Ascona. There we will enjoy the promenade with its cosy cafes, artisans and boutiques. Ascona is home to the church of Santa Maria della Misericordia with its frescoes.
We will get back on the boat to continue to the islands of Brissago. There we will find a well-known tropical botanical garden and a restaurant with a Ticinese gastronomic offer. We will board the boat again to return to Locarno where we can enjoy a swim in the crystal clear waters of the lake after a hot day.
Time to leave Ticino behind and head into the Alps. We will take the Gottardo train to Andermatt. We will leave our luggage at the hotel and by train we will go to Disentis, doing part of the route of the mythical Glacier Express, crossing the Oberalppass. We will cross the highest point of the Glacier Express route and undoubtedly the most scenic section of this famous train. Arriving at Disentis, we recommend a visit to the 1400 year old Benedictine monastery.
The baroque building is a cultural spectacle, as well as its church, museum and the store with the products the church, museum and the store with the products made by the monks every day. Monks make every day. We will return by train to Andermatt.
We will continue our journey through the Alps with the Gottardo train and around Lake Luzern, until we reach the city. Luzern, known for its impressive medieval architecture, its incredible location on the shores of the lake of the four cantons and wrapped between the high pre-alpine mountains. The most emblematic points of the city are the medieval bridge, the lion and the old town. There we will meet some of the best chocolatiers in Switzerland, such as Max Chocolatier or Läderach.
A day of adventure!
We will take the ferry across the lake to Alpnachstad. There, the world's steepest rack railway will take us up to Mount Pilatus (2119 m). At this viewpoint we will feel small in front of such majesty, with a 360º panoramic view of the whole of Switzerland. We recommend taking the low-difficulty circular sightseeing train (40 min) to enjoy the views to the full. We will descend back to Luzern with the Dragon Ride gondola, simulating the flight of the dragons of the mythical legends of the place.
We travel further into the Alps on board the Luzern-Interlaken Express scenic train. This journey promises magnificent views through modern panoramic windows. En route, we will have the opportunity to admire the breathtaking alpine panorama, turquoise lakes and idyllic countryside until we reach Interlaken.
We will check in at the hotel and in the afternoon we can stroll through the town, along the Aare river and up to the panoramic viewpoint of Harder Kulm. We recommend a walk to the Neuhaus area to watch the sunset over Lake Thun.
Visit to the glacier. The Jungfrau rack railway takes us up to Europe's highest railway station, the Jungfraujoch (3454 m). There we will have a bird's eye view of the Aletsch glacier: 22 kilometres of ice, an area of about 80 square kilometres and 900 m thick at its lowest point. The largest glacier in the Alps with about ten billion tons of ice. The view is breathtaking with the four thousand metre peaks in the background. On the way down we pass through the Lauterbrunnen valley with 72 impressive waterfalls. A characteristic landmark is the Staubbachfall, which drops almost 300 metres down from an impressive rock face, one of the largest free-falling waterfalls in Europe.
It's time to say goodbye to this great Swiss adventure and say goodbye with a last breakfast in the land of cheese and chocolate.
Return home via Basel or Zurich airport.
