Arrival in Bilbao, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation.
Free day to discover the historic centre and some of its main attractions such as the Arriaga Theatre, the church of San Nicolás, the famous Plaza Nueva, the Plaza de Miguel de Unamuno, the Siete Calles area, one of the most historic places in the Old Town, the cathedral of Santiago, among others. Walking through its streets will be a unique experience, and you will also be able to enjoy its exquisite gastronomy. If you prefer, you can visit the famous Guggenheim Museum, one of the most famous works of the famous Canadian architect Frank Gehry. You can take a very special photo with Puppy, the museum's iconic dog. Accommodation.
Today you will have the opportunity to get to know the Basque coast. Meeting at Alameda de Mazarredo, 65 - Tourist office bus stop at 07:40.
We start the tour from the centre of Bilbao and head along the right bank of the estuary, leaving the industrial towns of Barakaldo, Sestao and Portugalete on the other side of the estuary. Once in Getxo, we will arrive at the famous Hanging Bridge, where we will make a brief stop for those who wish to climb on it, as the views from the top are magnificent. We continue our route to pass by the imposing 45-metre high Butron Castle and Mungia. From here we head towards the coast to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, a beautiful hermitage clinging to a rock and surrounded by the sea. We will continue along the coast to the typical fishing village of Bermeo, where we will stop to visit it. We then follow the coast to Mundaka, where we can enjoy its beauty and delight in the magnificent views of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. We continue our journey to reach the emblematic town of Gernika and visit its famous Casa de Juntas and its Tree. Return to Bilbao through the interior of Bizkaia with beautiful scenery and arrival in the centre of Bilbao at around 15:00. Accommodation.
