Introduction

Dear Traveler, thank you for choosing The Molt Collection.
We have meticulously selected every tour and adventure to make sure that this will not just become another trip but the experience of a lifetime.
Here below is the itinerary. The information is indicative and may have variations on designated tours.

Day
WELCOME to Tromsø, home of the midnight sun and the Northern Lights. Upon landing, your transfer to the hotel in the city centre awaits you. The journey is approximately 5 km.
INCLUDED TROMSØ CABLE CAR WITH TRANSFERS
19:30. Meet your driver and guide in the hotel lobby to set off for the Tromsø cable car.
After a short journey, we’ll arrive at the lower station of the Fjellheisen cable car, ready to ascend to the picturesque peak of Mount Storsteinen! You’ll enjoy breathtaking views as you reach the summit in the blink of an eye. Join us on the famous Tromsø cable car to enjoy unrivalled views of Tromsø’s islands, fjords and mountains. This is also the perfect spot to see the famous Northern Lights. The Fjellheisen was built in 1961 by Brødrene Jakobsens Rederi, a shipping company that was heavily involved in polar hunting, fishing and expeditions in the Arctic and Antarctic. The Fjellheisen cable car runs from Solliveien, in Tromsdalen, up to Storsteinen mountain. The lower station is located on the mainland side of Tromsø, 50 metres above sea level. The upper station, Fjellstua, is 421 metres above sea level. The journey takes four minutes.
Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Free day to explore Tromsø and go on optional excursions.
INCLUDED: CRUISE & DINNER TO SEARCH FOR THE NORTHERN LIGHTS
Duration: 19:00 - 22:30 (3 - 4 hrs)
The floating restaurant opens its doors at 18:45. As we leave the port of Tromsø, we’ll switch on the electric motor and glide silently into the darkness of the Tromsø fjords. Order a drink* and take a seat at one of the tables inside the lounge, which offers floor-to-ceiling panoramic views of the outdoors. Whilst the guide and captain scan the night sky for the Northern Lights, the hosts will serve dinner. The meal is prepared using fresh, seasonal local ingredients; it is a modern take inspired by traditional culinary dishes from Northern Norway. If the Northern Lights appear, you can step out onto one of the decks to watch them, surrounded by darkness far from the city lights and in complete silence.
*Onboard bar serving alcoholic drinks.
*Vegetarian menu available.

Join this authentic experience north of the Arctic Circle. We begin with a picturesque one-hour bus journey from Tromsø. You’ll drive in pairs, taking turns as driver and passenger, covering 3 to 4 kilometres in 30 to 40 minutes (depending on weather and snow conditions). Dog sledding is an authentic and thrilling way to connect with nature, powered by the energy of the Arctic’s most loyal animals. But this trip is much more than just a simple sleigh ride. You’ll also discover first-hand how the dogs are cared for throughout the year, including how activity is balanced with rest (with weekly stays at a secondary camp to relax), how proper nutrition is ensured, and how each dog’s physical and mental wellbeing is supported. Among the activities, you’ll enjoy a warm and cosy cabin where you can have a coffee and sample a traditional Norwegian snack. Here, we’ll share stories about life in the Arctic, from the extreme changes in weather and light throughout the seasons, to the rich traditions of Sami culture and the deep connection between people, animals and nature in the North. This is a journey to the heart of the Arctic: not just to see it, but to truly experience it.
