Kirkenes offers a special moment, as this small town marks the north-eastern tip of Norway. The entrance to Kirkenes is surrounded by calm waters, dotted with small islands and rugged coastlines.
Free time to begin discovering the home of the Sami community, where you can find elements of their culture in local crafts and traditions. Free day to explore this charming town or take one of the optional excursions.
OPTIONAL: KING CRAB SAFARI
Our fisherman/guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you on a 15-minute drive to the Snowhotel Kirkenes camp on the outskirts of Kirkenes. Then the journey begins, and we will venture out onto the ice of the fjord to find the holes where the king crab traps are set. After taking some obligatory photos with your big catch, we return to the Snowhotel restaurant. The crab legs are served in the northern Norwegian style with bread, butter, mayonnaise and lemon.

Breakfast at your hotel. Free morning to explore the cobbled streets and discover the Snowhotel, famous for its ice sculptures and Arctic bar. Kirkenes was heavily bombed during the war, and there are several monuments and a museum that tell this story.
All aboard! At 12:20 p.m. we set sail from Kirkenes and head north, arriving in Vardø in the afternoon. On our classic northbound voyage, you will discover enchanting landscapes, see fjords, large mountains and dizzying waterfalls, as well as historic towns and cosy fishing ports. Then we head west, sailing along the Varanger Peninsula to Båtsfjord and Berlevåg, home to Norway's most famous male choir, made up of local fishermen.
You will enjoy a buffet dinner included in the price.
There is also the option of going on a snowmobile tour in the evening.
OPTIONAL between days 2 and 3: NIGHT-TIME SNOWMOBILE SAFARI (Mehamn – Kjøllefjord)
Drive a snowmobile under the polar night, through the beautiful Arctic landscape. With a bit of luck, you will be able to see the Northern Lights illuminating the clear starry sky.
Note: driving licence required.

In the evening, we will stop in Mehamn. You can join the optional snowmobile excursion to tour the vast Arctic wilderness, breathe in the fresh winter air and, with any luck, see the Northern Lights in the starry sky.
In Hammerfest, you can see the Fuglenes meridian column, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a modest monument to one of the most important scientific tasks in the world, that of measuring the planet. We arrive in Tromsø at night (23:45), in time to enjoy a magical concert in the Arctic Cathedral. (optional)
We disembark from the ship and head to the hotel in Tromsø.
