Here below is the itinerary. The information is indicative and may have variations on designated tours.
Day
Welcome to Copenhagen. The charming Danish capital welcomes you with its canals, cobblestone streets, and captivating design. Among its iconic landmarks are the colorful Nyhavn harbor, the majestic Christiansborg Palace, and the serene Tivoli Gardens. You will take a 3-hour walking tour of the city with your tour guide, starting at 3:00 PM. Explore the city’s unique charm before settling into your room. Meet your tour guide at 6:00 PM at the hotel for an introduction to this unforgettable expedition. Free evening. Overnight stay
Depart Copenhagen taking the flight included at 8:30 am with approximately 41/2 hours of flight, you set foot on the largest island in the world. After a short stop in Nuuk, we continue to Ilulissat on a smaller plane. It's an incredible flight, allowing you to take in the magnificent frozen landscape, barren wilderness and magnitude of the Arctic. During our approach to Ilulissat, the city will seem to be located in the middle of nowhere. The colourful houses contrast with the snow-capped mountains, and a few days full of ice, winter and dog sledding await you, combined with cultural elements of a modern but very authentic Greenlandic village. A private transfer will take us to the Arctic Hotel and you will check into this magnificent four-star hotel. Here you will meet one of our local guides, who will inform you about the city, the area, the restaurants and the possibilities for excursions.
Includes a walking tour of Ilulissat
Duration of the activity: 2 hours

We set out on a walking tour of Ilulissat to learn about its history and discover interesting aspects of the town, including the many sled dogs that live here. Ilulissat means “icebergs,” a name that speaks for itself as soon as you behold the incredible Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the numerous icebergs that float majestically in the fjord, illuminated by the light created by the sun’s reflections.
On this guided city walk, the guide will share information about local history, Greenlandic culture, and modern life 300 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. Along the way, you’ll visit the fishermen at the harbor, the “Brættet” fish market stalls, and pass by the birthplace of Knud Rasmussen, as well as the old wooden Zion Church.
Return to the hotel; welcome dinner at the hotel included. Free evening. Overnight stay

You can spend this day continuing to explore Ilulissat at your own pace, enjoying its Arctic landscapes, colorful houses, and the tranquility of local life. During the day, you’ll enjoy one of Greenland’s most iconic experiences: a ride on a husky-drawn sled, an Inuit tradition that offers an authentic and unforgettable way to explore the snowy landscape. The rest of the day is free to visit small shops selling Greenlandic handicrafts, stop at one of the town’s cafés, or take in the views of Disko Bay.
INCLUDED: ARCTIC HUSKY SLEDDING EXPERIENCE
Activity duration: 1.5 hours
Start time: To be confirmed
Includes: English-speaking guide.
Dog sledding is one of Greenland’s most famous icons and a millennia-old Inuit tradition. Few modes of transportation have survived for so long without significant changes to their appearance or technology: a team of happy dogs in harnesses, pulling a simple wooden sled. This experience cannot be explained: you have to live it. This excursion usually takes place on flat terrain, on a plain near Ilulissat. In addition to the sled driver, two participants ride on each sled; therefore, if you booked the excursion individually, you may share the sled with another person. However, all dogs are different, so if you are traveling with family or friends, we cannot guarantee that you will stay together throughout the entire trip, as some dogs are faster than others. Participants must be 12 years of age or older. This excursion is not recommended for people with neck or back problems, nor for people with limited mobility.
Return to the hotel and overnight stay. As an optional experience, those who wish may enjoy a magical night at the Igloo Lodge, staying in an igloo amidst the Arctic landscape, with the chance to see the Northern Lights if conditions permit.
SUGGESTED OPTIONAL ACTIVITY
OPT. 604 Magical Night in an Igloo Under the Arctic Sky
Adult Price: 650 €
Child Price (2–11): 610 €
Single-occupancy Igloo: 1,150 €
Activity Duration: 20 hours
Start time: To be confirmed
2027 Season: January 20 – April 15
Includes: Includes transportation and one night in an igloo equipped with reindeer skins and winter sleeping bags, access to the communal cabin, meals as per the itinerary, and the chance to view the Northern Lights if conditions permit.
Enjoy a unique experience spending the night in an igloo and discover the beauty of Greenland’s winter landscape, where the Northern Lights may dance across the sky as night falls. Surrounded by mountains, you’ll spend the night in an igloo, with the option to take shelter in a heated cabin if necessary. In total, there are five spacious igloos, each accommodating two people. The beds are made up with reindeer skins and warm winter sleeping bags: you’ll experience the real Arctic at around 0 °C inside, completely sheltered from the outside wind, but with the full confidence of sleeping perfectly warm in Arctic expedition sleeping bags and thermal reindeer skins. The cozy and spacious lodge cabin serves as the main gathering place and is where meals are served. Breakfast will be served in the morning.
